Guide

Da Nang, area by area.

A compact coastal city between mountains, river, and beach. Most rental decisions come down to three questions: how close you want to be to the sea, how often you need the center, and whether you prefer expat convenience or a quieter local rhythm.

District area notes
Renting context

Hải Châu

Central, river, offices

The practical city center: government offices, hospitals, malls, the airport edge, and the Han River. Good if errands and short commutes matter more than beach access.

Sơn Trà

Beach north, peninsula, views

Covers the north beach neighborhoods and the peninsula. It suits renters who want My Khe access, ocean views, quieter streets, and fast routes to nature.

Ngũ Hành Sơn

Beach south, An Thượng, villas

Popular with expats around An Thượng and Mỹ An, with newer apartments, villas, cafés, gyms, and easy movement toward Hội An.

Thanh Khê

Local value, airport side

A denser, more local district between the bay, airport, and center. It often offers better value if you do not need to be directly by the beach.

Cẩm Lệ

Residential, quieter, inland

An inland residential area with wider roads, schools, and family-oriented neighborhoods. Useful for longer leases and quieter routines.

Liên Chiểu

Northwest, universities, bay

More spread out and industrial in parts, with universities, the northern bay, and access toward Hải Vân Pass. Better for value and specific work or study locations.

Hòa Vang

Rural edge, space, mountains

The city's large western district, with villages, hills, and more land. Less common for apartment hunters, but relevant for houses, retreats, and space.

Hoàng Sa

Administrative islands

An island district in Da Nang's administrative structure. It is not a standard residential rental market for everyday apartment searches.
